List of shortcuts

The launch dialog automatically collects all the current shortcuts present in the Windows Desktop folder, and lists them here. You can then choose the application you want and launch it.

The advantage of this kind of “launching” is that you may have applications that do NOT open by our usual launching system. Instead you may have to first open it and then do the work inside the application. There are many such applications that do not have an associated file that you can double-click to open. For e.g. A Chatting application that you use would be started in this manner.

NOTE: When you launch an application, it would get the arguments that you placed in the “Args:” text box. By default, it would the currently selected file from the file listing. If you do NOT want any argument to be sent to the application you are about to launch, then make sure you delete the “Args:” argument first!

Nuanced use
By default, Git Winch will only list shortcuts for executables. If you have some non-executable shortcuts on the desktop which you you also want to open, then you need to set this value in the System category of the gitwinch.ini file before using Git Winch
