The username which you need to provide is the one that you had registered at the Git Winch server. But please note: Git Winch can be privately hosted too. So to check the server that particular Git Winch is connected to, open gitwinch.ini and check this entry:
SystemAPIurl=
The value indicated after the equals-to sign will be the website. That would be the place where you have to register and get your username.
